What is YouTube Bookmark Pro?

YouTube Bookmark Pro is a Chrome extension that lets you save, organize, and research YouTube videos directly from a side panel — without leaving YouTube. You can save videos with notes, organize them into collections, and access your saved library from any tab.

Which browsers are supported?

YouTube Bookmark Pro works on any Chromium-based browser: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. Firefox support is not currently planned.

Is it free?

Yes. The Library feature — save and organize up to 500 videos — is free forever. The Pro features (Subscriptions Pro, Creator tools, unlimited saves) are available with a paid plan. See the pricing page for details.

How do I install it?

Click "Add to Chrome" on the Chrome Web Store page. The extension installs in seconds and a side panel icon appears in your browser toolbar. Open YouTube and click the icon to start saving.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required to use the free Library feature. Your saves are stored locally in your browser. Pro features require a login to sync across devices.

What's included in the free Library plan?

The free plan includes: save up to 500 videos, add notes to each save, organize into collections, search your library, and export your saves. It's free forever — no credit card needed.

What does Subscriptions Pro add?

Subscriptions Pro gives you a fully chronological subscription feed — no algorithm, no "Most Relevant" filter. Just every video from channels you follow, in order, the way YouTube used to work.

What is the Creator feature?

Creator tools help YouTube channel owners research competitors, analyze video performance patterns, track what's working in their niche, and gather data without switching between multiple tools.

Can I save videos with timestamps?

Yes. When saving a video, you can include a timestamp so the link opens at the exact moment you want to return to. Great for long videos, lectures, or tutorials.

Does it work with YouTube Shorts?

Yes, you can save Shorts to your Library just like regular videos. Shorts are displayed in your library with their thumbnail and title.

What permissions does the extension need?

YouTube Bookmark Pro requests access to youtube.com to read the current video's title, URL, and thumbnail. It does not access your watch history, YouTube account data, or any data from other websites. It does not sell or share any data.

Is my data stored on your servers?

Free Library saves are stored entirely in your browser's local storage — no servers involved. Pro saves sync via encrypted cloud storage. We never access the content of your notes or view which videos you've saved.

Does it track my browsing?

No. The extension only activates on youtube.com. It has no access to any other website you visit and does not record any browsing activity. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.

The side panel isn't opening. What do I do?

First, make sure you're on a youtube.com page — the panel only activates there. Try clicking the extension icon in the toolbar. If the panel still won't open, go to chrome://extensions, find YouTube Bookmark Pro, and click the refresh icon to reload the extension.

My saves disappeared after a browser update.

Free saves are stored in browser local storage, which can be cleared by certain browser updates or by clearing browsing data. We recommend exporting your library regularly as a backup (Settings → Export). Pro users have cloud backup and won't lose saves.

The extension is slowing down my browser.

YouTube Bookmark Pro is designed to be lightweight and only runs on youtube.com. If you notice slowdown, try restarting Chrome and reloading the extension. If the issue persists, contact us at info@youtubebookmarkpro.com.
