Affiliate Program Terms & Payout

TL;DR. 40% lifetime recurring commission on every paid invoice from a customer you referred. 90-day cookie. Net-45 hold per invoice (extra buffer protects you from late-cancel write-backs). Manual payout monthly via PayPal, Wise, or SEPA when your balance is ≥ €50. No platform fee.

1. How it works

You receive a personal link youtubebookmarkpro.com/?ref=<your-slug> and a coupon code. When someone clicks your link, we set a first-party cookie that survives 90 days. If they later subscribe to a paid YBP plan — even from a different page or after a free trial — Stripe attaches your slug to the subscription as client_reference_id, and we record the referral.

Every paid invoice from that customer earns you 40% of the net amount (after Stripe fees and EU VAT, before refunds). This applies for the lifetime of the subscription, including renewals and plan upgrades.

4. Tax obligations (please read if you're outside Germany)

Germany / EU: Payouts are treated as commission income. We can issue a Gutschrift on request (for VAT-registered partners). For Kleinunternehmer status, no VAT applies.

USA: If your annual commission from us exceeds $600, US tax law requires us to issue a Form 1099-MISC. We will collect a W-9 from you before crossing that threshold and ask you to confirm your name, address, and TIN. If you exceed $600 and we cannot reach you for a W-9, payouts will be withheld until we can.

Other countries: Commission income is generally taxable in your country of residence. We do not withhold tax automatically; you are responsible for declaring it locally.

5. Disclosure obligations (FTC / EU)

If you're in the United States, the FTC Endorsement Guides require you to disclose your affiliate relationship in any content where you mention or recommend YBP. A simple "I'm an affiliate of YouTube Bookmark Pro" in the video description, tweet, or article is enough. Sample copy:

"Disclosure: I'm an affiliate of YouTube Bookmark Pro and earn a commission on referrals — but you also get 40% off your first year with code <YOUR_CODE>."

EU partners under the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive must include similar disclosure. We recommend the same wording.

The 40% lifetime commission is locked in for active partners as of the day you joined. We reserve the right to change the rate for new partners going forward, but we won't drop it for existing partners without:

If we ever sunset the program entirely, you keep all earned commissions and have at least 90 days to redeem outstanding balances.

We'd rather have you reach an audience that doesn't already know us, so we keep the rules tight on brand-keyword bidding. Here's what's OK and what isn't:

We may pause or terminate a partner account for:

You may pause your account at any time by emailing us. We'll process your final payout within 45 days of confirmation (matches the standard hold window).

10. Refund and chargeback handling

If a referred customer is refunded or initiates a chargeback before the 45-day hold ends on a specific invoice, only that invoice's commission is marked as reversed on your dashboard. Your prior-month commissions on the same customer stay intact — we don't claw back commissions that already cleared the hold.

If a refund happens after a commission has already been paid out (rare, since the 45-day hold is designed to absorb the typical refund tail), we deduct the affected amount from your next payout. We never ask for money back.

11. Dashboard security

Your live dashboard URL contains a one-time activation key. On first visit your browser silently exchanges it for a 15-minute session token (stored in sessionStorage, not in your browser history), and the URL bar is cleaned of the secret. Subsequent management actions use the session token, not the original URL. If you ever want to rotate the key (lost device, shared link), the dashboard has a Rotate dashboard key button — old links die instantly. Bookmarks share the cleaned URL.
